July 31, 2013
Projects for August

1. New fountain install #15 pond
2. Paving Repairs Caddy shack surrounds
3. Tree replacement #8, #10 (9-10ft trees)
4. Continue with Bunker Sand Replacement #11 Front green bunker
5. New White Spruce Trees
Course Conditions

Although weather has been hit and miss through the month of July the course and crew did hang in there. Drainage work done over the last 5-6 seasons did move the moisture allowing the course to dry at an acceptable rate. New bunker sand has been ordered and we will start replacing the sand in #11 front green side bunker then move on to #15. The new water fountain is partially installed on #15 we are currently hooking it up to the power in the effluent plant. Goal is to have operational before the long weekend. The locations for the new trees have been selected; 2-3 behind #3 gold tee, 6 on #8 three at the dogleg right side of the fairway and 3 right side of the green top of the mounds. Paving repairs will happen Aug/Sept the contractor is currently very busy dealing with flood repairs in the area.

Remember the course will be closed Monday August 26 for greens aeration, this is a necessary cultivation practice done annually to the greens to maintain their overall health.

Greens committee will start to work on the visible improvement projects for 2013/14 to be reviewed next board meeting.
Conclusion
Continued joint co-operation between the ownership and the board.
Focus will be on enhancing playability which leads to profitability.
A win win scenario for all concerned.
